The 2022 Melon Music Awards are getting ready!
MMA is the official award ceremony of MelOn, which is none other than the most widely used streaming platform in South Korea.
Like every year, the ceremony will mainly reward the artists who have been most successful in MelOn’s rankings over the past year.
Since 2020, the event has been held online due to COVID-19, but this year will mark the return of the public for the ceremony.
On September 29, it was officially announced that the Melon Music Awards 20222 would take place on November 26.
The event will be held at the famous Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.
Lee Je Wook, Head Director of MelOn at Kakao Entertainment, said: “We are going to make MMA 2022 a festival where fans and artists along with music industry professionals can all shine and harmonize to end the year with a brilliant finale.”
A teaser will be revealed soon. As for the artists who will be present for the ceremony, the lineup should be announced at the end of October.
