A PRODUCE 101 season 2 contestant has been given a suspended sentence.
On August 19, it was revealed that a former MNET survival contestant had been sentenced in court for a crime committed against his girlfriend.
Last October, the man broke into his then-girlfriend’s house because she refused to see him. At the scene, he then strangled her and threatened her with a knife in her kitchen.
When the neighbor came to the doorbell after hearing the young woman’s screams, he again threatened her with his gun, telling her not to scream.
In the end, the justice only sentenced the culprit to a one-year suspended prison sentence and 80 hours of community service.
Clearly, he will only go to prison if he breaks the terms of his reprieve.
The Court justified its decision by explaining: “It seems that the victim suffered great shock and pain, and he has not yet forgiven the accused. But we took into account the fact that the defendant confessed to his crime, that the crime was in some way accidental, and that it was the first crime of the defendant who did not have a criminal record. .”
