According to news outlet OSEN, Lee Hyori indeed reached out to Jimin in 2020 when she was at a low point following the controversy, and that’s why she sang this track in his honor.
According to OSEN, Lee Hyori herself reached out to Jimin via private message when the former AOA member was going through a tough time.
It was after hearing her story and feeling sorry for her that Lee Hyori decided to reach out to help her.
Lee Hyori thus invited Jimin to come live with her on Jeju Island, and the ex-member of AOA accepted without thinking, giving up everything to go join her and rebuild himself on Jeju Island.
It is therefore for this reason that Jimin chose to perform on a title by Lee Hyori on the occasion of his return to the stage.
