Sakura recently opened up about the criticism leveled at her in her career.
Recently, LE SSERAFIM retraced its creation and its beginnings in a documentary.
While the documentary in question earned HYBE criticism in particular due to comments from the agency’s high-ranking people asking girls to lose weight, the group’s members also shared their fears.
During an interview broadcast in the documentary, Sakura for example explained that the criticisms against her had made her lose confidence in her.
The young woman said: “People tell me that often, that I can’t sing. After hearing that, I was really hurt.”
She then continued: “After that, it became difficult for me to enter the recording studio. I even hoped that they didn’t give me too many lines to sing in the songs.
“I wanted to do well, but I was really scared that people would say that kind of thing about me again”revealed Sakura.
The member of LE SSERAFIM finally concluded: “But I also want to work hard and improve because I don’t want to run away anymore.”
LE SSERAFIM will make its comeback with a second mini-album on October 17th.
