K-POP groups whose contract expires in 2023

A brief overview of the bands whose contract expires next year.

The standard contract for groups debuting in K-POP is 7 years, which means that idols who debuted in 2016 will see their contracts expire in the year 2023.

However, they are not the only ones concerned since groups that started earlier but saw members join the group in 2016 may also see their contracts end next year. This is the case of Brave Girls, which debuted in 2011 but all the current members of the group joined the lineup in 2016.

However, several groups that started in 2016 have already renewed and will not be affected by the expiry of their contract next year: These include TWICE and SF9.

Among the K-POP groups affected by an end of contract in 2023, we mainly find:

• Brave Girls
– started in 2016 but the remaining 4 members joined the group in February 2016

• ASTRO
– started in February 2016

• WJSN
– started in February 2016

• NCT
– NCT U debuted in April 2016
– NCT 127 debuted in July 2016
– NCT DREAM debuted in August 2016
