BLACKPINK continues to break records!
On September 16, the YG Entertainment girl group made their comeback with the release of their second full album titled “BORN PINK”.
On the same day, BLACKPINK became the first girl group to sell more than one million copies of an album in one day with 1,011,266 copies sold.
On September 22, seven days after its release, 1.54 million copies of the album were sold according to Hanteo, the official organization that lists the albums sold.
This is a new record for a female artist in one week.
Indeed, it was “Girls” by aespa who held this record with 1.12 million copies sold in one week, a record that BLACKPINK broke today.
