BLACKPINK: “Pink Venom” becomes the first song in Korean to be number 1 on Spotify’s Global TOP 50

BLACKPINK offers itself a new success!

On August 19, the YG Entertainment girlgroup revealed the title track “Pink Venom”, a pre-release of their upcoming opus which will be released in September.

If the girls have shown impressive results on iTunes in particular, they are also hugely successful on Spotify.

Today, it was indeed revealed that “Pink Venom” topped Spotify’s Global TOP 50, the chart ranking the most streamed tracks in the world.

This was made possible thanks to the 7.9 million streams on the platform on the day of the song’s release, proving the enthusiasm around BLACKPINK’s new release.

This is a great first for a song in Korean!

Indeed, if BTS has ever managed to take the first place in this ranking once in the past, it was with “Dynamite”, which is an English song.

With this number 1 spot, BLACKPINK’s “Pink Venom” has therefore become the first song in Korean to reach the top step of the Spotify Global TOP 50 podium!

BLACKPINK is also the first girlgroup in the world to take first place in this ranking.

Congratulations to BLACKPINK!
