JYP Entertainment takes action to protect Lee Junho (2PM)

JYP Entertainment has announced measures for the protection of Lee Junho (2PM).

A few days ago, the agency announced via a press release:

“Hello, this is JYPE.

First of all, we want to express our gratitude to all the fans who gave our artist Lee Junho their undying love.

We have announced in the past that spreading false rumors and malicious messages about our artist will be subject to severe legal action.

However, we have confirmed that these acts of serious defamation, including spreading lies and rumors about our artist, have continued, and the false rumors have recently become even more serious.

Through our strict monitoring of such acts and our meticulous analysis of reports submitted by fans, we have become aware of the seriousness of the situation. With the evidence sent in by fans and the evidence we have gathered over a long period of monitoring, including that from currently deleted posts, we have filed a criminal complaint. We are also currently discussing other plans to pursue even stronger legal action with several law firms.

This is a reminder that we will take all available legal action against the original author and creator of baseless lies and rumours, as well as those who spread them. As was the case until now, no clemency will be granted under any conditions.

Additionally, there have been frequent instances of individuals coming into excessive contact with the artist or disrupting his travels at the airport when departing or arriving for his scheduled activities. Not only does this pose a threat to the performer’s safety, but it can also cause inconvenience and damage to all other passengers at the airport. We ask for your cooperation to prevent such incidents from happening again.

We inform you in advance that if such threats to the safety of our artists continue, appropriate action will inevitably be taken.

In the future, JYP Entertainment will continue to work even harder to protect the safety and rights of our artists as an agency. Any act causing damage to our artists will therefore be subject to a full range of legal action, and we are committed to responding strongly to such acts.

Thanks.”
