Born on April 21, 2008, she turned 14 just a few months ago. And while she’s certainly not the first K-Pop idol to debut at 14 — in fact, there are several — the group’s management has sparked controversy due to potentially ‘suggestive’ lyrics. in some of their songs (which recently made a statement about).
Despite all of this, NewJeans has already caused a stir in the K-Pop industry, and the members of the group are undeniably talented, so it’s well deserved!
However, recently, a post on Reddit revealed how young Hyein is compared to other K-Pop groups, specifically, Girls generation.

The second generation girl group debuted on August 5, 2007, about 8 months before Hyein’s birthday. And Girls’ Generation just celebrated 15 years since their debut, while Hyein recently turned 14!
