Actor Kim Nam Gil recently appeared with his co-star siwan in Jaejaevariety program MMTG to promote his latest film, Declaration of emergency. On the show, Jaejae asked her to choose between Jin BTS Yes Siwan.
It all started with reviewing his previous projects, including his breakout role as Bidam in Queen Seondeok. This role earned him acting awards such as Best New Actor – Television (Baeksang Arts Awards) and Excellence Award – Actor (MBC Drama Awards).
His performance as Bidam was so convincing that after seeing him in the K-drama, Jin became his avid fan and longed to have an acting career during his pre-BTS days. Jin, in fact, studied and graduated from Konkuk University in the department of film and visual arts.
Ever since they first met at the 35th Golden Disc Awards in January 2021, Nam Gil and Jin have kept in touch, become good friends, and occasionally run into each other. Nam Gil even invited Jin to his recent movie premiere. declaration of emergencywhich Jin gladly attended.
Jaejae then asked a tough question to Nam Gil. Since Jin and Siwan have their birthday in December, which party would you attend if they both had their party on the same day?
Nam Gil first offered a solution, to organize a joint celebration that he could attend without having to offend either of them. But Siwan said he would like to celebrate his birthday with only Nam Gil as a special guest. With that, Nam Gil made up his mind and chose to attend Siwan’s celebration.
