Lee Moo Saeng spoke out following rumors.
On September 10, Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested an actor in his 40s for a drug offense around 2 p.m.
After receiving a report that a man “running around like he was on drugs”police arrested the man and gave him a urine drug test, and his results came back positive.
Following this, rumors began to circulate, rumors that actor Lee Moo Saeng was the person in question.
Later that night, his agency, Alien Company, released an official statement denying the rumors.
The company said:
“Hello.
It’s Alien Company.
Regarding the 40-year-old actor who was arrested for drug addiction, our agency has confirmed that there are currently baseless lies circulating on online communities and social networks due to suspicions that the actor would be Lee Moo Saeng.
We make it clear that actor Lee Moo Saeng has no connection to the case in question, and if baseless lies continue to spread, we will respond with firm legal action.
Our agency will continue to do everything possible to protect our actors in the future as well.
