Originally included on the 2017 EP Do you love her, this song was a gateway for many to K-Pop and/or BTS ARMY.

However, the collaboration grew a few months later when a remix of Aoki’s “Mic Drop” featuring the American rapper Designate was announced for release as a single.

“MIC Drop” received a lot of airplay on American radio, and BTS performed it on many American TV shows, such as The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!Yes Saturday Night Live.

Likewise, the remix became an arena anthem at sporting events, including the NBA. It was even sometimes used in some advertisements.

Five years later, Steve Aoki is still playing “MIC Drop” when DJing at events and attending concerts with BTS. He also sometimes mixes it with other BTS hits, including “The Truth Untold,” which he worked on.

Well, it turns out he’s not the only one who didn’t forget “MIC Drop”.

Desiigner tweeted BTS’s post announcing the “MIC Drop” remix. Yes, since 2017.

He included a purple heart emoji and tagged Aoki and BTS. He also followed up with an additional tweet, shouting ARMY.

On the other hand, ARMYs are confused AF. The comments section is filled with many who say it’s “Five years too late”.

Others suspect this is an indication that a new collaboration is in the works. So you’re just drawing attention to the original.

Interestingly, Desiigner also went on a “like spree” because he liked ARMY’s many replies and tweets.

What do you think? Could they be working on another collab or did Desiigner just remember his password?
