On September 26, XIUMIN made their solo debut with the release of their first album and the upload of the MV of “Brand New”.

During the event, a comeback of EXO was mentioned by the journalists.
XIUMIN then replied that he wanted to be able to stand on stage again with the other group members and make music again as EXO.
