“Squid Game” won several trophies at the 2022 Emmy Awards!
On September 12, the 2022 Emmy Awards were held in Los Angeles.
Lee Jung Jae, Jung Ho Yeon, Park Hae Soo, Oh Young Soo and Hwang Dong Hyuk were also present to attend the ceremony.
During the evening, two prizes were awarded to “Squid Game”.
Lee Jung Jae won the trophy in the ‘Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series’ category.
He thus became the first Asian actor in history to win this coveted prize.
For his part, Hang Dong Hyuk was awarded in the category ‘Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series’.
This is the first victory in this category for a series whose language is not English.
