The person who tracked the ATEEZ with a tracking device placed on their vehicle has been convicted

KQ Entertainment has shared an update on their legal action against the person who stalked the ATEEZ members.

In October 2021, the agency revealed that it had found a tracking device on ATEEZ’s vehicle and was preparing to start legal action against the person guilty of doing so.

On August 26, KQ Entertainment then announced that the person in question had been sentenced, stating:

“Hello.

It’s KQ Entertainment.

As reported, the agency has filed a lawsuit regarding ATEEZ’s privacy breach case.

The defendant requested leniency, but our agency did not agree to any leniency or accommodation to avoid further damages and set a precedent for those who think to minimize privacy violation offenses.

The accused was convicted under the Location Information Protection and Use Act. We would like to inform you that the agency will be filing an additional civil suit against the accused for other offenses.

Going forward, please continue to refrain from trying to find or track artists’ personal information and unofficial scheduled activities.

Once again, we would like to thank the fans for their continued love and support for our artists.

Thanks.”
