According to reports, the city of Pohang sent an emergency warning to evacuate in the early hours of September 6. The typhoon brought 70 to 100 mm of rain to the city, flooding much of it.

Typhoon Hinnamnor passed through Jeju-do in the late afternoon of September 5 and left the country in the early morning of September 6.

The typhoon was expected to be the strongest in the country’s history and would have had an atmospheric pressure of 955 hectopascals at its center. The typhoon would have had a maximum wind speed of 40 km.
